US Intelligence Report Warns of Russian Navel Buildup

Don't let the collapse of the USSR years ago fool you. Russia never lost any equipment plus there has been a huge surge to beef up the Russian Military for offensive attacks.

Under Putin, large amounts of funding has been put into the navy to upgrade old weapons systems. Russia is also selling upgraded weapons systems to foreign countries.

A new report by the Office of Naval Intelligence found disturbing news.

Quotes from the report
"In the next 10–15 years, the Russian Navy will continue its historic transition to a new 21st-century navy. A modest number of new class ships and submarines will enter the Navy by the turn of the decade. Continuing series construction and the start of several more sophisticated and complex new classes are projected for the next decade. The new construction will be accompanied by the maintenance and extension in service of the most capable Soviet legacy units. The new submarine and ship classes will incorporate the latest advances in militarily significant areas such as: weapons; sensors; command, control and communication capabilities; signature reduction; electronic countermeasures; and automation and habitability. More technologically advanced total ship systems requiring smaller crews will be complemented with personnel better trained and educated to exploit the full potential of their combat systems"
"It will also provide a flexible platform for Russia to demonstrate offensive capability, threaten neighbors, project power regionally, and advance President Putin’s stated goal of returning Russia to clear great power status.”

Bakers Pay Fine Not Baking Gay Cake

Just when you think it could not get any crazier, the Oregon bakers who refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding now have paid over $140,000 in fines for emotional suffering caused by the bakery which refused to make a wedding cake for Laurel and Rachel Bowman-Cryer more than two years ago. The bakers said they refused to make the cake because of their religious beliefs.

Not only did they have to pay the fines but were also slapped with a gag order that prohibited them from speaking publicly about their refusal to participate in or bake wedding cakes for same-sex marriage. Sounds like double standards as Aaron and Melissa Klein cannot speak about how they feel PUBLICALLY!

Assault Rifle Ban Bill Before the House

Now another "assault" on american freedoms is starting to take shape. A bill has been introduced to ban certain assault rifles. It directly targets every semi-automatic firearm in the United States including handguns, shotguns and rifles. Some common known rifles to be banned and it's variants are the AK47 and AR15.

Supreme Court to Decide on BB Guns

As if it was not already stupid enough to sentence David Lee Haywood to prison for the carry of a BB gun in 2005, now the Supreme Court of Minnesota is hearing the appeal of the 2005 case, which sentenced David to prison for 5 years, because the Court of Appeals upheld the conviction in September of 2015. Why would there even need to be an appeal. BB guns are not a firearm! But the case is getting national attention because Minnesota seems thinks a BB gun is a firearm.

From Foxnews:
The Minnesota Supreme Court has agreed to review the case of a convicted felon sentenced to five years in prison for possessing a BB gun. David Lee Haywood was charged in Ramsey County in 2013 with possession of a firearm by an ineligible person. He was convicted after the judge told the jury a BB gun counts as a firearm.
The Minnesota Court of Appeals upheld his conviction in September, saying appellate courts have consistently included BB guns in the definition of firearms. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the Minnesota Supreme Court will now consider the issue.
Court papers say Haywood, 37, was caught with a BB gun that looks like a Walther P99 pistol. Haywood was deemed ineligible to possess a firearm because of a 2005 drug conviction.
Haywood argued in his appeal that a BB gun shouldn’t be considered a firearm under the ineligible-person law because the statute does not define the term. He cited dictionary entries that define a firearm as a weapon that uses gunpowder or an explosive charge to fire a shot. In a Sept. 28 opinion, the court stated, "Minnesota's appellate courts have consistently interpreted the term 'firearm' as used within certain sections of chapter 609 (the Criminal Code) to include BB guns."

China Buying Russian Bison Hovercraft

While the USA continues to downsize military forces, China continues to build capabilities to invade other countries. Adding to China's latest capabilities of sea warfare is the Russian Zubr Class (the Bison).

These troop and equipment carriers are not only for ocean movement but carry their loads well into the land, even able to maneuver over 4 foot walls.

From Popular Mechanics
China has received its second Zubr ("Bison") class hovercraft from Russia. Fast, armed and capable of carrying an invasion force, thesed hovercraft give China the ability to land troops on nearby islands and islets, including those in the East China Sea, South China Sea, and even Taiwan.
The Soviet Union developed the Zubr class of hovercraft in the late 1970s as a way of quickly landing troops over relatively short distances. Zubrs have a range of 300 miles and top speeds of up to 55 knots. Each one can carry three tanks, 12 armored fighting vehicles, and up to 500 marine infantry.
And they don't stop at the beach: As hovercraft, Zubrs can cross a beachhead and carry their cargo well inland. On land, a Zubr can cross a five-degree gradient and traverse up to a four-foot vertical wall. Here's a Russian Zubr involved in an amphibious exercise, disgorging Russian marines and BTR-82 infantry fighting vehicles on the beachhead.

UK Report: Muslim Brotherhood Violent

A scathing report on the Muslim Brotherhood was issued by the UK. The report accuses the MB of being sympathetic to terrorist activities and a huge risk to the national security of Britain.

The review of the MB was ordered by Prime Minister David Cameron in April 2014. Whil the report is classified, the main findings of the report are published to the public.

The report found that most of the brotherhood was "comprised (of) exiles and overseas students.". In light of recent events here. this should serve as a warning to what will come of the muslim exiles and students that embed in the US. The report found the muslims begin to organize and establish over 50 years ago in the UK.

The report found that the MB continually supports Hamas activities. Their website even encourages people to rebel against Westerners and to take bullets in their chests

While the US President still sits in denial over the Muslim Brotherhood ( or a secret sympathizer) it seems the UK is waking up to the danger of not only the MB, but the dangers of Islam that has already embedded the UK

Seattle Gun Violence Tax Upheld

A judge upheld Seattle's a "gun violence" tax Tuesday, rejecting a challenge from the NRA and other gun rights groups.

King County Superior Court Judge Palmer Robinson dismissed arguments that Seattle's tax, adopted last summer, exceeded the city's authority under state law. The measure adds $25 to the price of each firearm sold in the city, plus 2 or 5 cents per round of ammunition, depending on the type.

Officials expect it to raise up to $500,000 a year to help offset the costs of gun violence. The measure is set to take effect next month.

"The NRA and its allies always oppose these commonsense steps to shine light on the gun violence epidemic," said City Council President Tim Burgess, who sponsored the law. "Judge Robinson saw through the NRA's distorted efforts to put gun industry profits ahead of public safety."

Abdullah: We Are Facing WWIII

Planet Earth is facing a global conflict and a fast response is needed to deal with the threat, Jordan's King Abdullah said on Tuesday. "We are facing a Third World War against humanity and this is what brings us all altogether," he told a news conference in Pristina.

"This is a war, as I said, repeatedly within Islam and unfortunately over 100,000 Muslims have been murdered by Daesh (Islamic State) alone over the past two years, and that doesn't also count for the atrocities like-minded groups have also done in Africa and Asia," he said after meeting Kosovo President Jahjaga.

King Abdullah said the world must "act fast to tackle the response to interconnected threats" from, the Islamic State (Daesh).

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for attacks in Paris, in which 129 people were killed, as well as for bombings in the Lebanese capital. The group has also said it brought down a Russian plane in Egypt, killing all 224 people aboard.

France and Russia both staged air strikes on Islamic State targets in northern Syria on Tuesday as Paris formally requested European Union assistance in its fight against the group.

"The atrocious Paris attacks shows that scourge of terrorism can strike anywhere and any time," King Abdullah said.

Charlie Brown Christmas Edited

the latest yuletide lunacy comes from Johnson County, Kentucky where the school district has censored an elementary school presentation of “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

The district also ordered other schools to remove all religious references from their upcoming Christmas productions.

At one school, “Silent Night” was replaced with a Christmas version of the “Whip/Nae Nae” song. “How do you go from ‘Silent Night’ to the ‘Whip/Nae Nae,’” one distraught grandmother stated.

Teachers at Castle Elementary School were directed to remove the moving scene where Linus shares the true meaning of Christmas by reading from the Gospel of Luke. Superintendent Tom Salyer confirmed that the entire passage was excised from the program after the district received a single complaint. “We’re not reading that, sir,” Salyer told me. “It disappoints men that we have to do this.”

Lee Circle No more

Lee Circle will lose the statue of its namesake after the New Orleans City Council voted 6-1 Thursday to remove four monuments related to the Confederacy from their prominent perches around the city.

Besides Gen. Robert E. Lee, statues of Gen. P.G.T. Beauregard at the entrance of City Park and Confederate president Jefferson Davis in Mid-City and the obelisk dedicated to the Battle of Liberty Place at the foot of Iberville Street will all come down.

"The time surely comes when (justice) must and will be heard," Mayor Mitch Landrieu told the council as he called for the statues to be put in a museum or a Civil War park. "Members of the council, that day is today. The Confederacy, you see, was on the wrong side of history and humanity."
The decision did not come lightly after months of public shouting matches, penned op-eds and rhetorical firefights on social media enveloped Landrieu's request in June that the statues be displayed in a museum, mothballed or discarded as vestiges of New Orleans' racist past.

Catholic School Must Hire Gay Man Says Court

A Boston state court issued a first in its ruling attempting to force a Catholic school to hire a homosexual man.

Superior Court Associate Justice Douglas Wilkins’ decision on Wednesday orders Fontbonne Academy, a Catholic girls school, to hire a “gay” man. The judge said Fontbonne discriminated against plaintiff Matthew Barrett when officials rescinded a food service director position in 2013.

Barrett was denied the job after school administrators realized he was in a same-sex union. “On the undisputed facts, Barrett has shown he is a protected class, that he was qualified (and even received an offer) for the position of Food Service Director, that he suffered denial of employment, that the reason for the denial was his sexual orientation and that he suffered harm as a result,” the judge wrote.

“This proves sexual-orientation discrimination as a matter of law on the undisputed facts.” the judge further stated

Iran Holds $50K Holocaust Cartoon Contest

The Iranian authorities are offering a $50,000 prize for the individual who submits “the best cartoon on the Holocaust”.

This contest is part of the 11th Tehran International Cartoon Biennial. Cartoonists from at least 50 countries will be participating in the Holocaust contest, with the top three runners up receiving “cash prizes” of $12,000, $8,000, and $5,000 for their work mocking the genocide that killed more than six million Jews, according to comments made by conference organizers and reported by Islamic Republic News Agency.

Iranian officials, including former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, are notorious for denying the Holocaust and mocking those killed in the genocide. Officials in Tehran have announced multiple versions of the Holocaust cartoon contest in recent years, though the latest conference could be its largest.

Masud Shojai-Tabatabai, an organizer of the contest, told the Iranian media that there are legitimate questions to be raised about the Holocaust. He went on to compare the Palestinians to the Jews killed by Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime. “We do not mean to approve or deny the Holocaust, however, the main question is that why is there no permission to talk about the Holocaust despite their [the West’s] belief in freedom of speech,”

Strange Events in Gulf of Mexico

Early last month is was noted that something very strange was happening off the coast of Galveston, Texas. As FT reported, “the amount of oil at sea is at least double the levels of earlier this year and is equivalent to more than a day of global oil supply.”

In short: the global deflationary crude supply glut is beginning to manifest itself in a flotilla of stationary supertankers, as millions of barrels of oil are simply stuck in the ocean as VLCCs wait to unload.

Ultimately, this led to nearly 40 crude tankers with a combined cargo capacity of 28.4 million barrels waiting to anchor near Galveston in the Gulf of Mexico.

In the latest sign that the world is simply running out of capacity when it comes to coping with an inexorable supply of commodities, three diesel tankers en route from the Gulf to Europe did something rather odd on Wednesday: they stopped, turned around in the middle of the ocean, and headed back the way they came!

The problem: low prices, no storage capacity, and soft demand.

Pastor Sentenced to Life

North Korea's Supreme Court sentenced a pastor from Canada to life in prison with hard labor for what it called crimes against the state.

Hyeon Soo Lim, who pastors the Light Korean Presbyterian Church in Toronto, was given the sentence after a 90-minute trial. He had been in detention since February.

Lim entered and left the court in handcuffs flanked by two public security officers in uniform. The handcuffs were removed in court during the trial. He kept his head bowed most of the time and answered questions in a subdued tone.

The crimes he was charged with included harming the dignity of the supreme leadership, trying to use religion to destroy the North Korean system, disseminating negative propaganda about the North to the overseas Koreans, and helping U.S. and the South Korean authorities lure and abduct North Korean citizens, along with aiding their programs to assist defectors from the North.

State prosecutors had sought the death penalty.

American Tax Payers Pay for Sex Change Operation

A former she-male hooker, only a year out of jail on a fraud conviction, just received a full “sex change” operation, courtesy of you, the American taxpayer.

His story is told over four full pages in Sunday’s edition of the New York Times. The initial cost of the surgery to the taxpayer was reported approximately $25,000, though the final cost is estimated to be higher.

Jerome Nimmons tells his story of growing up effeminate, childhood humiliation, sexual seduction by a much older male, HIV infection, eventual family rejection, and a life turned to prostitution and other forms of crime.

Jerome’s story eventually becomes yet a newer iteration of what Ronald Reagan called the “welfare queen.” Though Jerome was living with other transvestites in Atlanta, in what he calls his “gay family”—complete with “gay kids”—Jerome was lured to Brooklyn by a friend because New York has become something of a welfare haven for transsexuals.

Arriving by bus with only $200 in his pocket, within only a few weeks, Jerome scored a state-supported apartment, monthly disability checks, obtained food stamps, and proceeded to spend his leisurely days watching television.

Jerome also joined a Medicaid program called Amida Care that caters to those with HIV. Through the program, he started receiving treatment for his HIV infection and his health improved. He found a pro bono lawyer to help him get a new transsexual name.

The New York Times reports this is a new and booming pro bono area in the law. Though Jerome had used various names in his transsexual life, including “Magnolia Thunder*****” and “Meeka,” the name he settled on was “Kricket,” inspired in part by one of his favorite characters on The Young and the Restless. The new surroundings, vast government support, a new name, and—most importantly—a change in insurance put Jerome on track to go all the way with his change of “sex.”

US Judge Swears in on Koran

In the United States and the majority of Western countries, politicians and members of the courts are sworn in to their positions while placing their hand on the Holy Bible when they take their oath.

But Judge Walker took her oath respecting the sacred book of her Islamic faith, the Holy Quran, while also wearing a hijab.

A video posted on Facebook shows the moment when Judge Walker was sworn in as a civil court judge of the 7th Municipal District at the Brooklyn Burough Hall in New York City.

“All is praise is indeed due to the Most High! I am humbled that my community has entrusted me with the immense responsibility of ensuring that EVERYONE has notice and a FAIR opportunity to be heard in the halls of justice,” Walker wrote on her website.

The video of her ceremony has prompted many comments in favor her induction. “Good on her. Doesn’t matter if it’s a Bible or a Holy Quran, it’s just the promise to perform to the best of your ability, swearing on something sacred to you,” a Facebook user said. “The problem is that America isn’t a Christian nation. It’s supposed to accept all religions and be a nation that accepts people regardless of their race, religion, and now sexual orientation. If we don’t allow all to be equal and free, then we lose the essence that makes us truly American,” she added.

More Chinese Military Drills in South China Sea

China's navy has carried out more exercises in the disputed South China Sea, the Defence Ministry said on Sunday.

China claims almost all of the energy-rich waters of the South China Sea, through which more than $5 trillion of maritime trade passes each year. The Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia and Taiwan have overlapping claims.

"The People's Liberation Army Navy in recent days organized a fleet to go to relevant seas in the South China Sea, by way of the Western Pacific, to carry out exercises," China's Defence Ministry said in a brief statement. "This action is a routine arrangement made in accordance with this year's naval training plan," it added, without elaborating.

Pictures on social media accounts of Chinese state media have in recent days shown pictures of Chinese navy ships engaged in live-fire exercises in the South China Sea, without saying where exactly they took place.

China has been at odds with the United States of late over the strategic waterway.

Church Gave Criminal Summons Over Service "Noise"

The pastor of Vintage Church was issued a criminal summons and the rest of the staff was threatened with “physical arrest” if they used any microphones or amplified sound in their worship services, according to a lawsuit filed by Liberty Institute.

Jefferson Parish, Louisiana and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office are named in the lawsuit – alleging that the local government is “imposing unwarranted and unreasonable demands on the members of Vintage Church.”

“Federal and Louisiana law both protect Vintage Church from this sort of targeted enforcement,” Liberty Institute attorney Justin Butterfield said.

The trouble started back in August when the small evangelical congregation announced plans to expand its existing sanctuary – located within a subdivision. However, that meant the church had to temporarily relocate its two Sunday morning worship services to an enclosed outdoor tent. The church applied for, and was granted a permit to erect the structure. On Aug. 9, a neighbor called authorities to complain about the noise levels.

On Aug. 18, the church was told by the sheriff’s office that any sounds before 8:50 a.m. had to be kept below 60 decibels. They also told the church they could not set up for the Sunday service until after 8:50 a.m.

Obama Sidestepping Congress with New Gun Laws

AP is reporting Obama is framing new gun laws without congressional approval. The Associated press released the following:

President Barack Obama's advisers are finalizing a proposal that would expand background checks on gun sales without congressional approval.
White House adviser Valerie Jarrett says the president has asked his team to complete a proposal and submit it for his review "in short order." She says the recommendations will include measures to expand background checks.

Atheist Urge People to Skip Church on Christmas

An atheist group ruffled some feathers after it bought at least two billboards urging people to skip church on Christmas.

The billboards feature a smiling Santa Claus with the text: "Just be good for goodness sake. Happy Holidays!” The signs appear in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Raleigh, North Carolina.

American Atheists program director, Nick Fish, said his group aimed to combat stereotypes. “We want it to be either a little funny, or edgy, or provocative in some way, so when people see it, they stop and go, ‘Hey, wait a second, what did that just say?'”

Not everybody was on board. “It can be insulting to those who are religious and do celebrate it for Christianity and religion in general,” Said Alexis Esselman.

The group reports that it targets areas where evangelical Christianity has a significant presence.

Iran Tests Missile in Violation of UN Resolution

Iran has carried out a new medium range ballistic missile test in breach of two United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Western intelligence says the test was held Nov. 21 near Chabahar, a port city in southeast Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province near the border with Pakistan. The launch took place from a known missile test site along the Gulf of Oman.

The missile, known as a Ghadr-110, has a range of 1200 miles, and is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. The missile fired in November is an improved version of the Shahab 3, and is similar to the precision guided missile tested by Iran on Oct. 10, which elicited strong condemnation from members of the U.N. Security Council.

“The United States is deeply concerned about Iran's recent ballistic missile launch," Samantha Power, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., said in a statement after the last Iranian ballistic missile test in October.

President Obama mentioned the Iranian missile test during a press conference on Oct. 16 and said the United States was preparing to brief the U.N. sanctions committee. He added that it would not derail the nuclear deal.

Lynch Threatens Jail for Anti-Muslim Hate Speech

Lynch, speaking at a dinner held by the Muslim Advocates, did not directly address the San Bernardino shootings at the event, but said there had been a “very disturbing rise in anti-Muslim rhetoric” across America since the Paris shootings three weeks before.

Assuring the pro-Muslim group that “we stand with you,” Lynch said she would use her Justice Department to protect Muslims from “violence” and discrimination and vowed to prosecute anyone guilty of what she described as violence-inspiring speech. “The fear that you have just mentioned is in fact my greatest fear as a prosecutor, as someone who is sworn to the protection of all of the American people, which is that the rhetoric will be accompanied by acts of violence,” she said. “My message to not just the Muslim community but to the entire American community is: We cannot give in to the fear that these backlashes are really based on. When we talk about the First Amendment we make it clear that actions predicated on violent talk are not American. They are not who we are, they are not what we do, and they will be prosecuted.”

3 reasons Why The USA Is Not Ready For CHhina

1 - The U.S. military is overstretched. It is engaged in the fight against the Islamic State group in the Middle East. It is also trying to prevent terrorist attacks at home and abroad. And the row with Russia over Ukraine continues.

2 - U.S. military forces are weary. Many U.S. troops are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of their tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. The mental condition brings back vivid memories of combat, makes sleeping difficult and changes how sufferers react to those around them and to the outside world. It is incurable. Apparently this is holding back U.S. President Barack Obama from sending ground troops to Syria.

3- Finances. The federal government is being forced to spread its dollars thin, and the defense budget is getting squeezed. It will probably take about 10 years for the battle-fatigued U.S. military to revamp its capabilities to a point where it would feel comfortable rivaling China. In 10 years, it will have replenished its ranks and deployed new arsenals. In the meantime, it will have to try its best to contain contingencies with its existing resources.

Turkish Troops in Iraq

The Iraqi government has demanded that Turkey withdraw more than 100 ground forces that entered Iraq with tanks and artillery for alleged “training” of troops near Islamic State-occupied Mosul. Baghdad stressed the unsanctioned move was a breach of its sovereignty.

The Iraqi foreign ministry said in a statement early on Saturday that the Turkish troops were acting in violation of the country’s sovereignty and demanded the forces withdraw immediately. “Around one regiment armoured with tanks and artillery” has entered the northern Nineveh area, according to the statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister’s media office.

Did White House Lie about ISIS for Obama's Election?

Former intel chief is telling the story of how the advisors to the POTUS ignored reports of potential rise of ISIS because it did not fit into the story of Obama's re-election campaign.

CNN reported the story:
"President Barack Obama's former top military intelligence official said Tuesday that the White House ignored reports prefacing the rise of ISIS in 2011 and 2012 because they did not fit its re-election "narrative."
"I think that they did not meet a narrative the White House needed. And I'll be very candid with you, they just didn't," retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, told CNN's Jake Tapper on "The Lead."
Flynn, who has been critical of both Obama's and former President George W. Bush's handling of the Iraq War and involvement in the Middle East, said that Obama was served poorly by a small circle of advisers who were worried about his re-election prospects at the time.
The story they needed to tell, he said, was that pulling troops from Iraq would not leave the region vulnerable to the rise of a radical Islamic group like ISIS. "I think the narrative was that al Qaeda was on the run, and (Osama) bin Laden was dead. ... They're dead and these guys are, we've beaten them," Flynn said -- but the problem was that no matter how many terrorist leaders they killed, they "continue to just multiply

Russia Escalates Syrian War With Ground Troops

For the past week Syrian and pro-Syrian Lebanese media have been publishing articles estimating that Syria is facing a new stage in Russia's military involvement in the country, and that Russia is expected to escalate its participation in the Syria war with ground troops and an unprecedented expansion of its aerial campaign.

These reports follow statements by President Putin on November 20, 2015 in a talk with commanders and officials from the Russian defense ministry, in which he said that the results of the Syria offensive "are still not enough to clear Syria of armed and terrorist groups and defend Russia from a possible terrorist attack. There is much work ahead of us. I hope that the next stages [of the offensive] will take place with the same quality and professionalism and will lead to results."

The Russian decision to escalate its activity is likely motivated by the approach of January 1, 2016, on which, according to agreements reached during the last Vienna conference, Syrian regime and opposition representatives are to meet for negotiations under the auspices of the UN, concurrent to a ceasefire between them.

It seems that Russia and its allies - Syria and Iran - are trying to maximize their achievements against the Syrian rebels on the ground in order to collect bargaining chips in anticipation of the negotiations, especially considering that, so far, the Russian aerial campaign has not made substantial achievements.

US TOW Missile Used in Attack on RT Journalists

A US-made TOW missile system was used in an attack on an RT crew in Syria, mounting evidence suggests.

Journalists recognized the area, while experts confirmed that a booster found by the Syrian army matches the TOW seen in a rebel video.

A baldly titled video – ‘Jihadists Launch TOW at Journalists’ – was recently posted online and clearly shows a group of Syrian rebels firing a US-made anti-tank missile launcher.

Upon reviewing the video, RT’s Roman Kosarev, who was among the group of Russian journalists which miraculously survived an attack from a similar weapon earlier this week, recognized the area and the chain of events which subsequently unfolded.

Russia Waging Electronic Warfare in Syria

Russia is prepping to begin wage electronic warfare in Syria with jamming systems that are meant to prevent an incident similar to the attack on Tuesday that brought down a Russian plane in the war-torn region.

Russia also will install a highly advanced missile system  in Syraia capable of shooting down aircraft from the ground. Russia’s massive military buildup in the region comes as its forces begin to suffer casualties as a result of the country’s efforts to defend President Bashar al-Assad and combat ISIS.

Turkish forces shot down a Russian Su-24 fighter earlier this week for reportedly crossing into the country’s airspace while conducting strikes against Islamic State forces in Syria.

Russia Deploys Long Range Missiles in Syria

Russia has deployed long-range air defense missiles at an air base in Syria Thursday in response to the downing of one of its bombers by a Turkish warplane. Russian Novosti news agency reported that the shipment of S-400 long-range missiles had been delivered.

They will be based in Syria's coastal province of Latakia, just 30 miles away from the border with Turkey and are capable of striking targets within a 250-mile range with deadly precision.

The deployment of the missiles came hours after Turkey released audio recordings of what it says are the Turkish military's warnings to the pilot of the Russian Su-24 bomber that was shot down at the border with Syria early Tuesday.

The recordings indicate that the plane was warned several times that it was approaching Turkey's airspace and asked to change course. The voice is heard saying: "This is Turkish Air Force speaking on guard. You are approaching Turkish airspace. Change your heading south immediately."

Turkey has informed the United Nations that two Russian planes disregarded warnings and violated Turkish airspace "to a depth of 1.36 miles and 1.15 miles in length for 17 seconds

Islamic Invasion

The U.S. issued 680,000 green cards to muslims from 2009 through 2013, according to Department of Homeland Security.

This Islamic “invasion,” as some are calling it, occurred on the Obama administration’s watch, with plans for 10,000 Syrian Muslims grabbing much of the headlines. The U.S. has brought in more than 1.5 million Muslims through the refugee program since the passage of the Refugee Act of 1980.

They have been coming from Islamic states with active jihadist movements such as Somalia, Bangladesh, Burma, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Bosnia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Putting this five-year tally in context, it surpasses the total population of Washington, D.C., which is 660,000.

Deadly "Kissing Bug" Reported by CDC

The "kissing bug," has been found in Georgia according to the CDC. The bug can carry a parasite in its feces that can cause a deadly disease.

Triatomine bugs feed on the blood of mammals, including humans, and sometimes carry a parasite that causes Chagas disease — which, if left untreated, can cause sudden death, according to the CDC.

There are two drugs to treat Chagas, though the disease can become serious if left untreated, and about 30 percent of people with Chagas develop serious heart problems. However, there's a low chance in the United States of getting Chagas from a triatomine bug, according to the CDC.

Worldwide, Chagas kills approximately 12,000 people a year, according to the World Health Organization.

Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet

Russian President Putin said Tuesday that Turkey’s decision to shoot down a Russian fighter jet near Turkey's border with Syria is a "stab in the back" and it would have “significant consequences” for its relations with Turkey, as NATO called an emergency meeting over the incident.

Putin said the Russian Sukhoi-24 jet was shot by a missile from a Turkish jet over Syria about just over a half-mile away from the Turkish border.

Putin was meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah II in Sochi. Prior to the meeting, The New York Times said Putin was "speaking slowly and clearly angry." Rebels said they fired at the two parachuting pilots as they descended, and that one had died.

A rebel spokesman said they would consider releasing the body in exchange for prisoners held by Syria. The fate of the second pilot was not immediately known.

U.S. defense official told Fox News that radar tracks validate Turkey’s claims that the aircraft entered its airspace and refused to leave, despite repeated warnings. The official added that two Turkish F-16s fired heat-seeking air-to-air missiles at the Russian aircraft.

Twitter Bans Blood Drives Without Gays

Social media giant Twitter has banned onsite blood drives in its offices worldwide where regulations do not permit blood donations from gay / bisexual men.

The San Francisco-based company made the decision after one of its U.S. gay employees, was turned away from donating blood at the company's headquarters, a spokeswoman said on Monday.

Blood donations from gay men have been barred since the discovery that HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, could be transmitted through transfusions.

Currently in the United States, under a policy by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that is more than three decades old, men who have sex with other men cannot donate blood.

What is disturbing is the hard facts of how many gay men are infected with HIV / Aids. According to the CDC "Gay and bisexual men are more severely affected by HIV than any other group in the United States."

This action by Twitter could set off a chain reaction causing HIV tainted blood supply

Russian S-300 Missiles Delivered to Iran

Delivery of Russian S-300 anti-missile rocket systems to Iran has started, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow said in an interview. Iran is getting one of the latest versions of the air defence complex.

The delivery is underway, ambassador Mehdi Sanaei told Persian-language daily, Etemaad, as cited by Tasnim news agency.

The news was not welcome in Washington, with US State Department spokesman Mark Toner reiterating the US stance on the issue. “We made clear time and again our objections to any sale of the S-300 missile system to Iran,” Toner told reporters.

Earlier this month Iranian Defense Minister Dehghan announced Tehran is going to get Russian air defence systems by the end of the year, which in Iran ends on March 20, 2016.

General Dehghan stressed that a major shipment of the hardware is going to be delivered in less than two months time. “Iran has bought as many S-300 air defense systems as it needs,” Dehghan said. Iranian operators of S-300 system are being trained in Russia.

Did ISS Astronaut See UFO?

UFO believers claim US astronaut Scott Kelly, who is the first person to attempt to spend a year in orbit, was "trying to tell the world about the existence of aliens" without actually saying anything, as they are convinced NASA is involved in an intergalactic cover up to hide the truth about UFOs from the masses.

Astronaut Kelly tweeted the picture of India from 200 miles above the Earth in the ISS with the simple message "Day 233. Once upon a #star over Southern India. #GoodNight from @space_station! #YearInSpace." But UFO believers were quick to point out an "anomaly" towards the top right.

China Entering War in Syria

China is now entering the war in Syria. Troops and equipment are arriving in Syria

China's foreign minister Wang Yi said at the UN Security Council session in New York: “The world cannot afford to stand by and look on with folded arms, but must also not arbitrarily interfere.”vHe added that nations should stand united against "violent extremist ideology".

A Chinese naval vessel crossed through Egypt’s Suez Canal and entered the Mediterranean Sea; its destination was unknown, but that did not make a difference to the Syrian people because the news circulating around the country indicated that China’s participation in this brutal conflict was imminent.

According to a senior officer in the Syrian Arab Army“the Chinese will be arriving in the coming weeks.” When asked to elaborate, the officer responded that Chinese military personnel were expected to join the Russians Marines stationed around Syria’s western countryside.

The officer could not provide anymore details regarding their deployment; however, he did state that the Chinese military personnel were expected to arrive at Tartous’ ports in the next six weeks.

Anonymous Attacks ISIS

Anonymous has begun publishing the names and addresses of alleged ISIS recruiters.

The masked hacking group declared war against the Islamic State in the wake of the Paris attacks, vowing to silence extremist propaganda and expose undercover operatives.

Now it has leaked details of at least five men it claims are recruiters for the terror group, as well as taking down 5,500 Twitter accounts.

Anonymous activists also claimed to have identified a "high-ranking" recruiter living in Europe, but have not yet published an address.

*Note from ETH.com - Our thanks to Anonymous for doing something our government will not. We need more people to stand up and be counted! If we do not stop ISIS, they will kill us one by one. Is your family next?

Russia Hunting ISIS Oil Trucks

Russia on Wednesday said its planes will attack any tanker trucks travelling through territory belonging to ISIS in Syria, as Moscow looks to ratchet up pressure on the terrorists.

"Today a decision was taken according to which Russian warplanes are now flying on a so-called 'free hunt' against tanker trucks carrying oil products belonging to terrorists in areas controlled by ISIS," said Russian military official Andrei Kartapolov

Kartapolov said that Russian aviation had already destroyed some 500 fuel trucks over the past "few days" transporting oil from Syria to refineries in Iraq. "This has considerably lowered the ability of the fighters to illegally export energy products and their income from contraband oil," he said.

Revenues from oil smuggling are a key part of ISIS financing

5 Facts Why Christianity is Exploding in China

5 facts about Christianity in China that will surprise and bless you.

1. China will likely become the largest Christian nation in the world by the year 2030. In the year 2010 there were more than 58 million Protestants in China, and that number could swell to around 160 million by 2025 based on current growth trends. (The United States had 159 million Protestants in 2010.) By 2030, Yang predicts, China's total Christian population would exceed 247 million, placing it above Mexico, Brazil and the United States as the largest Christian population in the world.

2. More Christians attend church on Sundays in China today than in Europe.

3. Spiritual hunger is exploding in China, even though the country is officially atheist.Between 10,000 and 25,000 people convert to Christianity every day in China.

4. Persecution of Christians is still rampant in China, but it does not seem to be slowing church growth. A 2015 report by China Aid says leaders of the Chinese Communist Party remain worried about the popularity of Christianity, and this is the reason they have instigated recent crackdowns on churches and arrested house church pastors. President Xi Jinping is considered the most authoritarian leader in China since Mao Zedong. Communist leaders have also been known to bankrupt churches in an effort to stop their work.

5. The growth of Chinese Christianity is linked to its economic growth. Economists announced that China overtook the United States as the world's largest economy in late 2014. China, with its population of 1.3 billion, now accounts for 16.5 percent of the global economy, compared with 16.3 percent for the U.S.

Could it be that God will use the vast financial resources of China to pay for the next great thrust of world evangelism before Christ's return?

China's church is truly a marvel. The gospel seed that was planted by missionaries such as Hudson Taylor in the 1800s died in the ground after Mao Zedong unleashed his infamous Cultural Revolution in the 1960s and 1970s.

Power Grid Attacked Once Every Four Days

About once every four days, part of the nation's power grid — a system whose failure could leave millions in the dark — is struck by a cyber or physical attack.

Although the repeated security breaches have never resulted in the type of cascading outage that swept across the Northeast in 2003, they have sharpened concerns about vulnerabilities in the power grid. A widespread outage lasting even a few days could disable devices ranging from ATMs to cellphones to traffic lights, and could threaten lives if heating, air conditioning and health care systems exhaust their backup power supplies.

Some experts and officials fear the rash of smaller-scale incidents may point to broader security problems, raising questions about what can be done to safeguard the electrical grid from an attack that could leave millions without power for days or weeks, with potentially devastating consequences.

"It's one of those things: One is too many, so that's why we have to pay attention," said Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman Cheryl LaFleur. "The threats continue to evolve, and we have to continue to evolve as well."

SPECIAL REPORT: We have discovered several ways to prepare for power outage situations. The power companies know that their customers could invest as little as $200 and generate their own electricity and make their meters spin backwards and that's precisely why they hope you never learn about this secret.

Syrian Refugees Arriving in New Orleans

The flood of refugees migrating from Syria and Afghanistan has begun to have a trickle effect in the New Orleans area. "We had served two families, we're expecting one more soon, and we do not know how many more, but we expect more," said Martin Gutierrez of Catholic Charities, which is part of the Archidiocese of New Orleans.

Catholic Charities has targeted services for helping refugees. "So it's a matter of uniting the families, which is something that the church really promotes, obviously. Some of them don't have relatives and we try to help them become integral parts of our communities," Gutierrez said.

But some have argued against the U.S. accepting Syrian refugees, fearing terrorists might slip through the cracks. We turned to former New Orleans FBI chief and anti-terrorism expert Jim Bernazzani for insight on whether that's a legitimate concern.

Before coming to New Orleans, Bernazzani worked to ramp up the nation's anti-terror strategies after 911. "If I was in charge of ISIL, logistically I'd take advantage of this situation and put my people in, into the United States," Bernazzani said. "Now with that said, the FBI is on top of this big time with our Joint Terrorism Task Force and we have what's called a Terrorist Screening Center that these individuals will be run through."

But make no mistake, not every refugee seeking admission to the U.S. would face such scrutiny. "It's going to be the 18- to 45-year-old male for the most part," he said. "It's a percentage game. It's not fail-safe, but it's a percentage game."

Muslims Vow to Kill Christians

A 153-foot statue of an open-armed Jesus towers above the Indonesian city of Manado, but Christians are under siege in the world's fourth-most populous country, according to a disturbing new report.

The Southeast Asian nation, where about 90 percent of its 250 million people are Muslim, has long been seen as seen as an example that a large Muslim majority can live in relative peace alongside minority religions, like Christianity and Hinduism. B

But in October, there was a troubling outburst in violence in the Sharia-law governed region of Aceh. At the urging from Islamic leaders, hundreds of Muslims took to the streets with machetes and torched area churches.

"We will not stop hunting Christians and burning churches. Christians are Allah's enemies," one Islamic leader said, according to a report by the Gatestone Institute.

Pot Smoking Bible Study

The City of Centennial Colorado was on a real high last week, with the announcement that it had just ranked fourth on America’s 50 Best Cities to Live In,” up from a still-respectable 26 last year, according to USA Today. In listing the top cities, the site noted that Centennial is one of the safest places in Colorado.

Perhaps that’s because everyone there is too high on pot and the Bible to do anything naughty. The day before Centennial started touting its number four ranking, the city made a big hit in New York magazine’s “The Bong Next Door: Ambling through America’s most stoned suburbs.” That lengthy piece led off with a meeting of the Stoner Jesus Bible Study.

The Bible group was created by forty-something mother of two Deb Button, who posted an ad for the stoner study on Craigslist; one woman showed up for the first meeting last fall and found Button “so baked out of her head she forgot that she’d invited me over,” she told the magazine. But the group ultimately got it together, and today Centennial residents aren’t just reading the Bible stoned; they’re playing poker stoned, playing lacrosse stoned, gardening stoned, doing the laundry stoned, watching the Broncos stoned, having sex stoned.

Huge Poland Protest Against Islam

Tens of thousands of protesters poured into Warsaw’s streets on Wednesday for a demonstration organised by the far-right, marching under the slogan “Poland for the Polish” and burning an EU flag.

Police said 25,000 people joined the march, which marked the anniversary of Poland’s return to independence after World War I, while organisers put the numbers at 50,000.

“God, honour, homeland,” chanted the protesters as they marched under a sea of red-and-white Polish flags. Demonstrators trampled and burned a European Union flag at one point, while a banner added to the anti-EU theme with the slogan “EU macht frei” (“Work makes you free” in German), a reference to the slogan over the gates at Auschwitz.

“Yesterday it was Moscow, today it’s Brussels which takes away our freedom,” chanted one group of protesters. Other banners read “Great Catholic Poland” and “Stop Islamisation”.

Several thousand riot police officers were deployed for the protest, which was punctuated by numerous firecrackers and smoke bombs but otherwise went off peacefully.

Doctors Without Borders Horrific Report Released

Doctors Without Borders released an internal review of what happened when its hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan was bombed by U.S. military forces on October 3. The review highlights how the U.S. violated the neutrality of the facility, which the U.S. had agreed to respect.

It also states there were no "armed combatants" in the hospital and no fighting in the "direct vicinity" at the time of the airstrikes. It also calls into question statements by anonymous officials or military operatives, which have been made to the press.

The aid group followed a "no weapons" policy, which had been implemented at the hospital, and staff remained in full control of the medical facility. GPS coordinates were also provided to Kabul and New York, and the U.S. Defense Department and Afghan Ministry of Interior, as well as the U.S. Army in Kabul, were made aware of the location of the hospital.

Dr. Joanne Liu, president of Doctors Without Borders International said even though the internal review was an ongoing process, the organization had made the decision to share details to "counter speculation" and to be "transparent." "What we know is that we were running a hospital treating patients, including wounded combatants from both sides—this was not a 'Taliban base,'"

Liu declared. "The question remains as to whether our hospital lost its protected status in the eyes of the military forces engaged in this attack—and if so, why. The answer does not lie within the MSF hospital. Those responsible for requesting, ordering and approving the airstrikes hold these answers."

Chinese Yuan Moves to Topple US Dollar

China took another step to boost the yuan’s global usage, saying it will start direct trading with the Swiss franc, as the nation pushes its case for reserve-currency status at the IMF.

The link will start on Tuesday making the franc the seventh major currency that can bypass a conversion into the U.S. dollar and be directly exchanged for yuan. The rate will be allowed to fluctuate a maximum 5 percent on either side of a daily fixing, according to CFETS.

“This is an important step in strengthening bilateral economic and trade connections between China and Switzerland,” the People’s Bank of China said in a statement on its website on Monday. The link will help lower conversion costs and facilitate the use of both currencies in bilateral trade, it added.

The announcement comes as the IMF prepares to meet this month to review its Special Drawing Rights. The executive board of the Washington-based institution will gauge whether the Chinese currency has fulfilled the criterion of being "freely usable," after rejecting its bid in 2010.

The other major currencies that can be directly converted into yuan are the U.S., Australian and New Zealand dollars, the British pound, the Japanese yen and the euro.

How America Compares to Rome's Downfall

The fall of Rome was a culmination of factors.

Open borders Illegal immigrants poured across the Roman borders

Loss of common language At first immigrants assimilated and learned the Latin language. They worked as servants, with many rising to leadership. But then they came so fast they did not learn Latin, but instead created a mix of Latin with their own Germanic, Frankish and Anglo tribal tongues. The unity of the Roman Empire began to dissolve.

The welfare state the immensely powerful Roman politician Gaius Gracchus began appeasing citizens with welfare, a monthly handout of a free dole (handout) of grain. Roman poet Juvenal (circa 100 A.D.) described how Roman emperors controlled the masses by keeping them ignorant and obsessed with self-indulgence, so that they would be distracted and not throw them out of office, which they might do if they realized the true condition of the Empire.

Welfare and government jobs exploded, one Roman commented: “Those who live at the expense of the public funds are more numerous than those who provide them.”

Class warfare City centers were abandoned by the upper class, who bought up farms from rural landowners and transformed them into palatial estates. The Durants wrote “The Roman landowner disappeared now that ownership was concentrated in a few families, and a proletariat without stake in the country filled the slums of Rome.”

Inner cities were destabilized, being also plagued with lead poisoning, as water was brought in through lead pipes.

The value of human life was low. Slavery and sex-trafficking abounded, especially of captured peoples from Eastern Europe.

Taxes Taxes became unbearable, as “collectors became greedy functionaries in a bureaucracy so huge and corrupt. The chief cause of the agricultural decline was high taxation on the marginal land, driving it out of cultivation.

There was a loss of patriotism,

Wealth began to flee the empire, and with it, the spirit of liberty.

Outsourcing Rome’s economy stagnated from a large trade deficit, as grain production was outsourced to North Africa.

Debt preceded fall Emperor Diocletian imposed wage and price controls and forbade people from changing professions. Choking taxes and personal debt caused many to abandon their mortgaged property and flee as ex-pats to live amongst the barbarians, renouncing their Roman citizenship. Diocletian responded by making it illegal to abandon one’s mortgaged property, thus permanently tying people to the land in what became the “feudal system” in the Middle Ages. Enormous public debt and government bureaucracy crippled Rome’s economy. Gerald Simons wrote: “The Western Roman economy, already undermined by falling production of the great Roman estates and an unfavorable balance of trade that siphoned off gold to the East, had now run out of money.”

Self-promoting and corrupt politicians The Durants wrote “The educated and skilled pursued business and financial success to the neglect of their involvement in politics.” Richard A. Todd wrote “The church, while preaching against abuses, contributed to the decline by discouraging good Christians from holding public office.”

Violent entertainment The Circus Maximus and Coliseum were packed with crowds of Romans engrossed with violent entertainment, games, chariot races, and until 404 A.D., gladiators fighting to the death.

Exposure of unwanted infants Roman demographics changed as families had fewer children. Some would sell unwanted children into slavery or leave them outside exposed to the weather to die, as was the practice till 374 A.D.

Immorality Rome was corrupted with court favoritism, the patronage system, injustice in the legal system, infidelity, perverted bathhouses, sexual immorality, gluttony and gymnasiums (“gym” being the Greek word for “naked”).

Military cuts Though militarily superior and marching on advanced road systems, the highly-trained Roman legions were strained fighting conflicts from the Rhine River to the Sassanid Persian Empire. Roman borders were over-extended and the military defending them was cut back to dangerously low ranks.

Terrorist attacks Called the “Scourge of God,” Attila the Hun was thought to be the anti-Christ, as he devastated Europe with his half-million warriors. Aquileia, one of the largest cities in the world at the time, was so completely destroyed that inhabitants ran into the ocean, hammered down logs and lived on platforms which grew into the city of Venice.

Lesbian Bishop: Bring down Cross, install muslim space

The Bishop of Stockholm has proposed a church in her diocese remove all signs of the cross and put down markings showing the direction to Mecca for the benefit of Muslim worshippers.

Eva Brunne, the world’s first openly lesbian bishop ordained by the church of Sweden in 2009, and has a young son with her wife and fellow lesbian priest Gunilla Linden, made the suggestion to make those of other faiths more welcome.

The church targeted is the Seamen’s mission church in Stockholm’s eastern dockyards. The Bishop held a meeting there this year and challenged the priest to explain what he’d do if a ship’s crew came into port who weren’t Christian but wanted to pray.

Calling Muslim guests to the church “angels“, the Bishop later took to her official blog to explain that removing Christian symbols from the church and preparing the building for Muslim prayer doesn’t make a priest any less a defender of the faith. Rather, to do any less would make one “stingy towards people of other faiths”.

Feds Rule in Favor of Transgender Kid

Illinois' largest high school district violated federal law by barring a transgender student from using the girls' locker room, authorities concluded Monday.

The U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights spent two years investigating Palatine-based Township High School District 211 and found "a preponderance of evidence" that school officials did not comply with Title IX, the federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex.

The student, who has identified as a girl for a number of years, filed a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights in late 2013 after she was denied unrestricted access to the girls' locker room. District and federal officials negotiated for months, and a solution appeared imminent as recently as last week, when the district put up privacy curtains in the locker room.
