Nasdaq Death Cross Forms 'Four Horsemen' Pattern

The Nasdaq composite spooked investors on Monday after forming a death cross, a trading pattern that shows a decline in short-term momentum and is often a precursor to future losses.

A death cross occurs when the short-term moving average of a security or an index pierces below the long-term trend, in this case the 50-day moving average breaking through the 200-day moving average. I

In the past month, similar chart patterns formed in the S&P 500, Dow and small-cap Russell 2000, but the Nasdaq avoided a death cross formation until Monday.

Among the major averages, the domino effect was progressively felt as the drop in one index preceded the next. "The Dow Jones Industrial Average triggered the sell signal in August, followed by the S&P 500 then Russell 2000," Brean Capital head of equity trading Roberto Friedlander wrote Monday, alluding to the deterioration in the market

US Pastor in Iran Tortured with Stun Gun

Pastor Saeed Abedini will mark his three-year anniversary in an Iranian prison on Saturday, Sept. 26, enduring beatings, lack of medical attention and a fresh report of torture this week.

For their part, the Iranians have not seemed open to the idea of releasing Saeed. Earlier this week, they delivered a new round of heartbreaking news to Saeed’s wife, who lives in Boise, Idaho, with their two young children.

Iran has reportedly taken steps to extend Saeed’s eight-year prison sentence, threatening to file new charges, while torturing the 35-year-old pastor with an electronic stun gun.

Russia, Syria and Iran Joint Military Actions

Russian, Syrian and Iranian military commanders have set up a coordination cell in Baghdad in recent days to try to begin working with Iranian-backed Shia militias fighting the Islamic State.

Western intelligence sources say the coordination cell includes low-level Russian generals. U.S. officials say it is not clear whether the Iraqi government is involved at the moment. Describing the arrival of Russian military personnel in Baghdad, one senior U.S. official said, "They are popping up everywhere."

The Russians already have been building up their military presence in Syria, a subject expected to factor prominently in a planned meeting between President Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin in New York Monday on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly.

Russia has also moved 24 fighter jets into Syria

Obamacare Forces Foodstamps

One of the most recent discoveries, as reported by The Associated Press, is that Obamacare is actually leading to more Americans applying for, and receiving, food stamps, so that will provide the dwindling number of taxpayers with a new double layer of dependency to finance.

As the AP reports: President Barack Obama's health care law has had a surprising side effect: In some states, it appears to be enticing more Americans to apply for food stamps, even as the economy improves.

US Prepares for Possible China Conflict

During the Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition held by the Air Force Association in National Harbor, Maryland on Sep. 16, the US secretary of defense, Ashton Carter, said Washington was already moving ahead to prepare for a potential conflict with China in the disputed South China Sea region, Russia's Tass news agency reports.

Carter noted that China is turning submerged reefs into airfields and military bases through land reclamation to bolster its sovereignty claims in the region, where territory is claimed by several different parties. At the same time, he also said that it is time for the US to demand China slow down its militarization of the Spratly islands while promoting new diplomacy to protects the rights and interests of all countries in the region.

Massive Military Convoys Across the USA

Even though Jade Helm 15 has 'officially' come to an end, the massive military convoys and preparation for something huge across America appear to be kicking into an entirely new gear as seen in the 7 newly released videos below.

In the 8th video, Infowars takes a look at the '1st great war' of the 21st century. As has been stated several times before on ANP, to put an exact date on the global economic collapse or the official beginning of World War 3 would be foolish for anyone to do except for those truly on 'the inside' and while plenty of trolls and ignorant claim "see, nothing happened" after Jade Helm 15 'officially' ended, they couldn't be more wrong.

The Very First Head Transplant

Set to become the world’s first head transplant patient, 30 year old Valery Spiridonovt has scheduled the procedure for December 2017.

He was diagnosed with a genetic muscle-wasting condition called Werdnig-Hoffmann disease, and volunteered for the procedure despite the risks involved,

CEN reported. “When I realized that I could participate in something really big and important, I had no doubt left in my mind and started to work in this direction,” Spiridonov, a Russian computer scientist, told CEN. “The only thing I feel is the sense of pleasant impatience, like I have been preparing for something important all my life and it is starting to happen.” Dr. Sergio Canavero, an Italian neurosurgeon, will perform the procedure on Spiridonov. The procedure is expected to last up to 36 hours, and it will require Spiridonov’s head be cooled as well as the donor’s body to extend the period during which the cells can survive without oxygen

Will 6 Huge Asteroids End Life?

Wild predictions being made on the net claim a space rock up to 2.5miles wide will strike Puerto Rico.

Dates range from September 21 to the end, but most are homing in on between September 23 or 24 due to a range of Bible codes, so-called prophecies, and alleged other predictions.

However, the Blood Moon Prophecy, says the end is nigh on September 28 as that coincides with the last of four 'blood moons' (total eclipses followed with six full moons in between) over the past 18 months. The claim appears to have its origins in a self-proclaimed prophet Rev Efraid Rodriguez, who says he wrote to Nasa warning of the strike after receiving a message from God.

Jesus Gets to Stay on Mountain

A 6-foot tall statue of Jesus that has spent the last 60 years overlooking a northwestern Montana ski hill may stay there, a federal appeals court ruled Monday.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected arguments from a group of atheists and agnostics that allowing the statue to remain on U.S. Forest Service land violates the constitutional separation of church and state.
