Russia Escalates Syrian War With Ground Troops

For the past week Syrian and pro-Syrian Lebanese media have been publishing articles estimating that Syria is facing a new stage in Russia's military involvement in the country, and that Russia is expected to escalate its participation in the Syria war with ground troops and an unprecedented expansion of its aerial campaign.

These reports follow statements by President Putin on November 20, 2015 in a talk with commanders and officials from the Russian defense ministry, in which he said that the results of the Syria offensive "are still not enough to clear Syria of armed and terrorist groups and defend Russia from a possible terrorist attack. There is much work ahead of us. I hope that the next stages [of the offensive] will take place with the same quality and professionalism and will lead to results."

The Russian decision to escalate its activity is likely motivated by the approach of January 1, 2016, on which, according to agreements reached during the last Vienna conf…

US TOW Missile Used in Attack on RT Journalists

A US-made TOW missile system was used in an attack on an RT crew in Syria, mounting evidence suggests.

Journalists recognized the area, while experts confirmed that a booster found by the Syrian army matches the TOW seen in a rebel video.

A baldly titled video – ‘Jihadists Launch TOW at Journalists’ – was recently posted online and clearly shows a group of Syrian rebels firing a US-made anti-tank missile launcher.

Upon reviewing the video, RT’s Roman Kosarev, who was among the group of Russian journalists which miraculously survived an attack from a similar weapon earlier this week, recognized the area and the chain of events which subsequently unfolded.

Russia Waging Electronic Warfare in Syria

Russia is prepping to begin wage electronic warfare in Syria with jamming systems that are meant to prevent an incident similar to the attack on Tuesday that brought down a Russian plane in the war-torn region.

Russia also will install a highly advanced missile system  in Syraia capable of shooting down aircraft from the ground. Russia’s massive military buildup in the region comes as its forces begin to suffer casualties as a result of the country’s efforts to defend President Bashar al-Assad and combat ISIS.

Turkish forces shot down a Russian Su-24 fighter earlier this week for reportedly crossing into the country’s airspace while conducting strikes against Islamic State forces in Syria.

Russia Deploys Long Range Missiles in Syria

Russia has deployed long-range air defense missiles at an air base in Syria Thursday in response to the downing of one of its bombers by a Turkish warplane. Russian Novosti news agency reported that the shipment of S-400 long-range missiles had been delivered.

They will be based in Syria's coastal province of Latakia, just 30 miles away from the border with Turkey and are capable of striking targets within a 250-mile range with deadly precision.

The deployment of the missiles came hours after Turkey released audio recordings of what it says are the Turkish military's warnings to the pilot of the Russian Su-24 bomber that was shot down at the border with Syria early Tuesday.

The recordings indicate that the plane was warned several times that it was approaching Turkey's airspace and asked to change course. The voice is heard saying: "This is Turkish Air Force speaking on guard. You are approaching Turkish airspace. Change your heading south immediately."

Islamic Invasion

The U.S. issued 680,000 green cards to muslims from 2009 through 2013, according to Department of Homeland Security.

This Islamic “invasion,” as some are calling it, occurred on the Obama administration’s watch, with plans for 10,000 Syrian Muslims grabbing much of the headlines. The U.S. has brought in more than 1.5 million Muslims through the refugee program since the passage of the Refugee Act of 1980.

They have been coming from Islamic states with active jihadist movements such as Somalia, Bangladesh, Burma, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Bosnia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Putting this five-year tally in context, it surpasses the total population of Washington, D.C., which is 660,000.

Deadly "Kissing Bug" Reported by CDC

The "kissing bug," has been found in Georgia according to the CDC. The bug can carry a parasite in its feces that can cause a deadly disease.

Triatomine bugs feed on the blood of mammals, including humans, and sometimes carry a parasite that causes Chagas disease — which, if left untreated, can cause sudden death, according to the CDC.

There are two drugs to treat Chagas, though the disease can become serious if left untreated, and about 30 percent of people with Chagas develop serious heart problems. However, there's a low chance in the United States of getting Chagas from a triatomine bug, according to the CDC.

Worldwide, Chagas kills approximately 12,000 people a year, according to the World Health Organization.

Turkey Shoots Down Russian Jet

Russian President Putin said Tuesday that Turkey’s decision to shoot down a Russian fighter jet near Turkey's border with Syria is a "stab in the back" and it would have “significant consequences” for its relations with Turkey, as NATO called an emergency meeting over the incident.

Putin said the Russian Sukhoi-24 jet was shot by a missile from a Turkish jet over Syria about just over a half-mile away from the Turkish border.

Putin was meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah II in Sochi. Prior to the meeting, The New York Times said Putin was "speaking slowly and clearly angry." Rebels said they fired at the two parachuting pilots as they descended, and that one had died.

A rebel spokesman said they would consider releasing the body in exchange for prisoners held by Syria. The fate of the second pilot was not immediately known.

U.S. defense official told Fox News that radar tracks validate Turkey’s claims that the aircraft entered its airspace and refused to leav…

Twitter Bans Blood Drives Without Gays

Social media giant Twitter has banned onsite blood drives in its offices worldwide where regulations do not permit blood donations from gay / bisexual men.

The San Francisco-based company made the decision after one of its U.S. gay employees, was turned away from donating blood at the company's headquarters, a spokeswoman said on Monday.

Blood donations from gay men have been barred since the discovery that HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, could be transmitted through transfusions.

Currently in the United States, under a policy by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that is more than three decades old, men who have sex with other men cannot donate blood.

What is disturbing is the hard facts of how many gay men are infected with HIV / Aids. According to the CDC "Gay and bisexual men are more severely affected by HIV than any other group in the United States."

This action by Twitter could set off a chain reaction causing HIV tainted blood supply

Russian S-300 Missiles Delivered to Iran

Delivery of Russian S-300 anti-missile rocket systems to Iran has started, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow said in an interview. Iran is getting one of the latest versions of the air defence complex.

The delivery is underway, ambassador Mehdi Sanaei told Persian-language daily, Etemaad, as cited by Tasnim news agency.

The news was not welcome in Washington, with US State Department spokesman Mark Toner reiterating the US stance on the issue. “We made clear time and again our objections to any sale of the S-300 missile system to Iran,” Toner told reporters.

Earlier this month Iranian Defense Minister Dehghan announced Tehran is going to get Russian air defence systems by the end of the year, which in Iran ends on March 20, 2016.

General Dehghan stressed that a major shipment of the hardware is going to be delivered in less than two months time. “Iran has bought as many S-300 air defense systems as it needs,” Dehghan said. Iranian operators of S-300 system are being trained in Russia.

Did ISS Astronaut See UFO?

UFO believers claim US astronaut Scott Kelly, who is the first person to attempt to spend a year in orbit, was "trying to tell the world about the existence of aliens" without actually saying anything, as they are convinced NASA is involved in an intergalactic cover up to hide the truth about UFOs from the masses.

Astronaut Kelly tweeted the picture of India from 200 miles above the Earth in the ISS with the simple message "Day 233. Once upon a #star over Southern India. #GoodNight from @space_station! #YearInSpace." But UFO believers were quick to point out an "anomaly" towards the top right.

China Entering War in Syria

China is now entering the war in Syria. Troops and equipment are arriving in Syria

China's foreign minister Wang Yi said at the UN Security Council session in New York: “The world cannot afford to stand by and look on with folded arms, but must also not arbitrarily interfere.”vHe added that nations should stand united against "violent extremist ideology".

A Chinese naval vessel crossed through Egypt’s Suez Canal and entered the Mediterranean Sea; its destination was unknown, but that did not make a difference to the Syrian people because the news circulating around the country indicated that China’s participation in this brutal conflict was imminent.

According to a senior officer in the Syrian Arab Army“the Chinese will be arriving in the coming weeks.” When asked to elaborate, the officer responded that Chinese military personnel were expected to join the Russians Marines stationed around Syria’s western countryside.

The officer could not provide anymore details regard…

Anonymous Attacks ISIS

Anonymous has begun publishing the names and addresses of alleged ISIS recruiters.

The masked hacking group declared war against the Islamic State in the wake of the Paris attacks, vowing to silence extremist propaganda and expose undercover operatives.

Now it has leaked details of at least five men it claims are recruiters for the terror group, as well as taking down 5,500 Twitter accounts.

Anonymous activists also claimed to have identified a "high-ranking" recruiter living in Europe, but have not yet published an address.

*Note from - Our thanks to Anonymous for doing something our government will not. We need more people to stand up and be counted! If we do not stop ISIS, they will kill us one by one. Is your family next?

Russia Hunting ISIS Oil Trucks

Russia on Wednesday said its planes will attack any tanker trucks travelling through territory belonging to ISIS in Syria, as Moscow looks to ratchet up pressure on the terrorists.

"Today a decision was taken according to which Russian warplanes are now flying on a so-called 'free hunt' against tanker trucks carrying oil products belonging to terrorists in areas controlled by ISIS," said Russian military official Andrei Kartapolov

Kartapolov said that Russian aviation had already destroyed some 500 fuel trucks over the past "few days" transporting oil from Syria to refineries in Iraq. "This has considerably lowered the ability of the fighters to illegally export energy products and their income from contraband oil," he said.

Revenues from oil smuggling are a key part of ISIS financing

5 Facts Why Christianity is Exploding in China

5 facts about Christianity in China that will surprise and bless you.

1. China will likely become the largest Christian nation in the world by the year 2030. In the year 2010 there were more than 58 million Protestants in China, and that number could swell to around 160 million by 2025 based on current growth trends. (The United States had 159 million Protestants in 2010.) By 2030, Yang predicts, China's total Christian population would exceed 247 million, placing it above Mexico, Brazil and the United States as the largest Christian population in the world.

2. More Christians attend church on Sundays in China today than in Europe.

3. Spiritual hunger is exploding in China, even though the country is officially atheist.Between 10,000 and 25,000 people convert to Christianity every day in China.

4. Persecution of Christians is still rampant in China, but it does not seem to be slowing church growth. A 2015 report by China Aid says leaders of the Chinese Communist Party remain worried…

Power Grid Attacked Once Every Four Days

About once every four days, part of the nation's power grid — a system whose failure could leave millions in the dark — is struck by a cyber or physical attack.

Although the repeated security breaches have never resulted in the type of cascading outage that swept across the Northeast in 2003, they have sharpened concerns about vulnerabilities in the power grid. A widespread outage lasting even a few days could disable devices ranging from ATMs to cellphones to traffic lights, and could threaten lives if heating, air conditioning and health care systems exhaust their backup power supplies.

Some experts and officials fear the rash of smaller-scale incidents may point to broader security problems, raising questions about what can be done to safeguard the electrical grid from an attack that could leave millions without power for days or weeks, with potentially devastating consequences.

Syrian Refugees Arriving in New Orleans

The flood of refugees migrating from Syria and Afghanistan has begun to have a trickle effect in the New Orleans area. "We had served two families, we're expecting one more soon, and we do not know how many more, but we expect more," said Martin Gutierrez of Catholic Charities, which is part of the Archidiocese of New Orleans.

Catholic Charities has targeted services for helping refugees. "So it's a matter of uniting the families, which is something that the church really promotes, obviously. Some of them don't have relatives and we try to help them become integral parts of our communities," Gutierrez said.

But some have argued against the U.S. accepting Syrian refugees, fearing terrorists might slip through the cracks. We turned to former New Orleans FBI chief and anti-terrorism expert Jim Bernazzani for insight on whether that's a legitimate concern.

Before coming to New Orleans, Bernazzani worked to ramp up the nation's anti-terror strategi…

Muslims Vow to Kill Christians

A 153-foot statue of an open-armed Jesus towers above the Indonesian city of Manado, but Christians are under siege in the world's fourth-most populous country, according to a disturbing new report.

The Southeast Asian nation, where about 90 percent of its 250 million people are Muslim, has long been seen as seen as an example that a large Muslim majority can live in relative peace alongside minority religions, like Christianity and Hinduism. B

But in October, there was a troubling outburst in violence in the Sharia-law governed region of Aceh. At the urging from Islamic leaders, hundreds of Muslims took to the streets with machetes and torched area churches.

"We will not stop hunting Christians and burning churches. Christians are Allah's enemies," one Islamic leader said, according to a report by the Gatestone Institute.

Magnitude 7 earthquake strikes off Japan

A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Saturday off the coast of southwest Japan, triggering a small tsunami. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The earthquake struck at 5:51 a.m. at a depth of 6 miles southwest of Kagoshima city. A one-foot tsunami was recorded on Nakanoshima, Japan's southernmost main island.

Pot Smoking Bible Study

The City of Centennial Colorado was on a real high last week, with the announcement that it had just ranked fourth on America’s 50 Best Cities to Live In,” up from a still-respectable 26 last year, according to USA Today. In listing the top cities, the site noted that Centennial is one of the safest places in Colorado.

Perhaps that’s because everyone there is too high on pot and the Bible to do anything naughty. The day before Centennial started touting its number four ranking, the city made a big hit in New York magazine’s “The Bong Next Door: Ambling through America’s most stoned suburbs.” That lengthy piece led off with a meeting of the Stoner Jesus Bible Study.

The Bible group was created by forty-something mother of two Deb Button, who posted an ad for the stoner study on Craigslist; one woman showed up for the first meeting last fall and found Button “so baked out of her head she forgot that she’d invited me over,” she told the magazine. But the group ultimately got it together…

Huge Poland Protest Against Islam

Tens of thousands of protesters poured into Warsaw’s streets on Wednesday for a demonstration organised by the far-right, marching under the slogan “Poland for the Polish” and burning an EU flag.

Police said 25,000 people joined the march, which marked the anniversary of Poland’s return to independence after World War I, while organisers put the numbers at 50,000.

“God, honour, homeland,” chanted the protesters as they marched under a sea of red-and-white Polish flags. Demonstrators trampled and burned a European Union flag at one point, while a banner added to the anti-EU theme with the slogan “EU macht frei” (“Work makes you free” in German), a reference to the slogan over the gates at Auschwitz.

“Yesterday it was Moscow, today it’s Brussels which takes away our freedom,” chanted one group of protesters. Other banners read “Great Catholic Poland” and “Stop Islamisation”.

Several thousand riot police officers were deployed for the protest, which was punctuated by numerous firecrac…

Doctors Without Borders Horrific Report Released

Doctors Without Borders released an internal review of what happened when its hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan was bombed by U.S. military forces on October 3. The review highlights how the U.S. violated the neutrality of the facility, which the U.S. had agreed to respect.

It also states there were no "armed combatants" in the hospital and no fighting in the "direct vicinity" at the time of the airstrikes. It also calls into question statements by anonymous officials or military operatives, which have been made to the press.

The aid group followed a "no weapons" policy, which had been implemented at the hospital, and staff remained in full control of the medical facility. GPS coordinates were also provided to Kabul and New York, and the U.S. Defense Department and Afghan Ministry of Interior, as well as the U.S. Army in Kabul, were made aware of the location of the hospital.

Dr. Joanne Liu, president of Doctors Without Borders International said even tho…

Chinese Yuan Moves to Topple US Dollar

China took another step to boost the yuan’s global usage, saying it will start direct trading with the Swiss franc, as the nation pushes its case for reserve-currency status at the IMF.

The link will start on Tuesday making the franc the seventh major currency that can bypass a conversion into the U.S. dollar and be directly exchanged for yuan. The rate will be allowed to fluctuate a maximum 5 percent on either side of a daily fixing, according to CFETS.

“This is an important step in strengthening bilateral economic and trade connections between China and Switzerland,” the People’s Bank of China said in a statement on its website on Monday. The link will help lower conversion costs and facilitate the use of both currencies in bilateral trade, it added.

The announcement comes as the IMF prepares to meet this month to review its Special Drawing Rights. The executive board of the Washington-based institution will gauge whether the Chinese currency has fulfilled the criterion of being &qu…

How America Compares to Rome's Downfall

The fall of Rome was a culmination of factors.

Open borders Illegal immigrants poured across the Roman borders

Loss of common language At first immigrants assimilated and learned the Latin language. They worked as servants, with many rising to leadership. But then they came so fast they did not learn Latin, but instead created a mix of Latin with their own Germanic, Frankish and Anglo tribal tongues. The unity of the Roman Empire began to dissolve.

The welfare state the immensely powerful Roman politician Gaius Gracchus began appeasing citizens with welfare, a monthly handout of a free dole (handout) of grain. Roman poet Juvenal (circa 100 A.D.) described how Roman emperors controlled the masses by keeping them ignorant and obsessed with self-indulgence, so that they would be distracted and not throw them out of office, which they might do if they realized the true condition of the Empire.

Welfare and government jobs exploded, one Roman commented: “Those who live at the expense of the pu…

Lesbian Bishop: Bring down Cross, install muslim space

The Bishop of Stockholm has proposed a church in her diocese remove all signs of the cross and put down markings showing the direction to Mecca for the benefit of Muslim worshippers.

Eva Brunne, the world’s first openly lesbian bishop ordained by the church of Sweden in 2009, and has a young son with her wife and fellow lesbian priest Gunilla Linden, made the suggestion to make those of other faiths more welcome.

The church targeted is the Seamen’s mission church in Stockholm’s eastern dockyards. The Bishop held a meeting there this year and challenged the priest to explain what he’d do if a ship’s crew came into port who weren’t Christian but wanted to pray.

Calling Muslim guests to the church “angels“, the Bishop later took to her official blog to explain that removing Christian symbols from the church and preparing the building for Muslim prayer doesn’t make a priest any less a defender of the faith. Rather, to do any less would make one “stingy towards people of other faiths”.

Feds Rule in Favor of Transgender Kid

Illinois' largest high school district violated federal law by barring a transgender student from using the girls' locker room, authorities concluded Monday.

The U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights spent two years investigating Palatine-based Township High School District 211 and found "a preponderance of evidence" that school officials did not comply with Title IX, the federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex.

The student, who has identified as a girl for a number of years, filed a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights in late 2013 after she was denied unrestricted access to the girls' locker room. District and federal officials negotiated for months, and a solution appeared imminent as recently as last week, when the district put up privacy curtains in the locker room.

Montana plan bans Christian Schools from Scholarship

A firestorm is brewing in Montana over a state Scholarship Tax Credit program proposed by the Department of Revenue that would exclude some schools because of their religious affiliation.

The Pacific Legal Foundation says it will oppose the plan because it violates the U.S. Constitution’s guarantees of religious freedom and equal protection. The state agency has scheduled a hearing at which a lawyer for PLF will testify.

The stated goal of the program is to expand educational choices and opportunities for Montana families and school-age children, but some schools would be left out. PLF is representing the Association of Christian Schools International, an organization of faith-based schools that also acts as an accrediting and licensing body.

There are 3,000 schools across the United States in the association, including 11 in Montana, which would not benefit from the program.

“These regulations are unfair and unjust because they limit the educational choices that the Legislature sou…

Russia close to Canada

A strange aspect of Canada's foreign policy of late is how they viewed Russia's expanding power in distant Eastern Europe and Syria, yet took scarce note of Moscow's actions closer to our own Arctic and Asia-Pacific interests.

Even allowing for the vast distances involved, Vladimir Putin's strategic thrusts are almost on Canada's doorstep and may well require far more serious attention from the incoming Liberal government.

Russia is militarizing its section of the Arctic and expanding its naval operations through the already tense Asian rim of the Pacific at a time when more than half dozen nations there — including, in particular, the U.S., China and Japan — are struggling to redefine a new balance of power in the region.

Granted, Russia is not Canada's only concern, but Russia is special. It's our feisty northern neighbour and our relations are in the pits. Canada was reportedly even seen in Moscow as the most anti-Russian nation on Earth in the more rec…

Putin May Retaliate

It was reported that ISIS had claimed responsibility for the fatal crash of Metrojet flight KGL 9268 carrying tourists from Sharm al-Sheikh to St. Petersburg.

Russian officials initially said there was no way ISIS could have brought the plane down because shoulder-fired surface-to-air-missiles don’t have a range high enough – the plane was flying at 31,000 feet when it began its fall.

The Daily Mail reported, “Alexander Neradko, head of Russia’s federal aviation agency, confirmed the jet disintegrated at high altitude in a remote region where Egypt is fighting ISIS and al-Qaeda-backed terrorists.

Terrorism and aviation experts believe a bomb was more likely cause for crash than a missile or mechanical failure They cite fact there was no distress call and fuselage skin peeled outwards from ‘force acting outwards from within’ Russian expert close to investigation likened disaster to 1988 Lockerbie tragedy when Boeing was blown out of sky.
